The Winning Tongue Plate Loose Ring Bit with Brakes & Extended Plate combines the extended plate with the brakes design. Per the manufacturer the extended plate corrects breathing problems and stops displacement of the soft palate, while limited arm travel keeps pressure off the outer ring, cheek and lips. The brakes add what the manufacturer describes as power steering for pullers — lowering the head and settling climbing, head tossing, pulling and hanging.
